lk-image2Dr Leonard Kuo is an innerwest Orthopaedic Surgeon. He was born and educated in Sydney. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1985, he went on to complete his Orthopaedic training on the Sydney AOA training programme in 1994. A further 2 years was spent in post graduate fellowship with WK Chung gaining additional experience in joint replacement, shoulder surgery and paediatric orthopaedics. He has been in private practice since 1995 and his particular subspecialty interests include joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder.
Dr Kuo has publications in the literature at national and international level. He has presented papers at numerous local and national meetings and has been actively involved in orthopaedic registrar teaching and examination in addition to RMO and medical student training at Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Canterbury Hospital.
He is currently an Emeritus Orthopaedic Consultant at Sydney Children’s Hospital, a teaching hospital of the UNSW and the Department Head and RMO term supervisor at the Canterbury Hospital. Every year he travels to the Kingdom of Tonga to provide Orthopaedic Outreach services particularly in congenital club foot deformity.
